Can GP's prescribe medical cannabis?
No – currently – June 2019 – GP’s in the UK cannot prescribe medical cannabis – Only doctors on the Specialist Register can do so – see https://www.gmc-uk.org/registration-and-licensing/the-medical-register/a-guide-to-the-medical-register/specialist-registration
However this may change with the rapid adoption of medical cannabis is Europe. In Germany for example GP’s can prescribe cannabis.
